Upcoming Games of August 2018 – Today, we’re bringing you the freshest games coming to shelves this August. This list contains all the upcoming releases for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and the 3DS.

Arranged by release dates, our first game is

Yakuza 0

Witness the origins of the Yakuza lore in SEGA’s brutal prequel to their popular beat ’em up action adventure. Return to the rich aesthetics of 80s Japan, and embark on the violent delights of Yakuza’s open world. Belt out karaoke with the boys, dance to the decade’s beats, and experience Japan in the comfort of your desk. Already released on the PlayStation, Yakuza 0 is set to release on the PC this 1st of August, 2018.

WarioWare Gold

Following up on the adventures of Mario’s mischievous counterpart, the Nintendo 3DS finally opens its doors to Wario’s popular parties. With a grand array of over 300 different minigames, this Gold edition marks the return of various favorites from previous WarioWare titles. As exciting it is to see their characters make their own return, Nintendo Switch fans are disappointed about missing on the fun. It’s set to release on the 3DS on August 3rd.

Super Street: The Game on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One

From the makers of one of the most notoriously bad racing games, Team6 tries to move on from their Flatout 3 disaster with this upcoming street racer. Continuing the legacy of Super Street, The Game promises to bring to the forefront the series’ automotive tuning culture. Build your own cars, customize their decals and performance, and have yourself your very own Supercar. Offering splitscreen and online multiplayer, this might be one promising treat. It’s set to release on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on August 3rd.

Overcooked! 2 on the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nitnendo Switch

One of the most popular couch party games in recent history, Overcooked is set to give us another heaping serving of panic, adrenaline, and team-based excitement with this brand new sequel. Enter the deadliest kitchens in the world, and serve your patrons in the face of icebergs, moving trucks, volcanic eruptions, and so much more. Playable through local and online co-op, it’s a gastronomic thrill you can share with your friends. It’s set to release on the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch on August 7th.

Hyper Universe

Brawl with the best in this 2D sidescrolling MOBA from Nexon America. Including all of the markers of the genre, there’s something about Hyper Universe that makes it feel fresh. Get to know each of their quirky characters, and dive into their fast paced arena–destroying towers, farming camps, and decimating the enemy teams. An easy to pick up MOBA for newcomers and veterans alike, it’s set to release on the Xbox One this August 7th, 2018.

Okami HD

PlayStation 2’s gem finally found its way to Nintendo’s latest console. What Okami lack in tech, Switch delivered. Using the console’s touch controls, use your magical paintbrush to rebuild the evil-torn Japan as Amaterasu in the guise of a wolf. Defeat the notorious Orochi and save the world of Nippon from extinction. This 2006 masterpiece received so many awards during its time, and this HD remaster comes out this 9th of August.

We Happy Few for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Finally making out of development hell after a few agonizing delays, Compulsion Games dystopian survival game is ready for unveiling. Set in a fictional retrofuturistic English town of Wellington Wells, become a member of its Joy obsesses citizenry and conform your way out of their communal delusion–or else. With beautiful and stylistically dreary visuals, it’s set to release on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on August 10th, 2018.

Madden NFL 19 on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One

Coming as no surprise to anybody, EA Sports is releasing yet another installment of their flagship American Football series. Promising to bring realism to even greater heights this year, Madden’s new animation engine is gonna take you one step closer to turning your NFL dreams into reality. There’s also a spate of new features coming in the 2019 edition like custom drafts, realistic steps, and so much more. Following regular release schedules, it’s coming to the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on August 10th.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season on the PC, Xbox One, Switch and PS4

Clementine’s final journey is here. Telltale’s fourth and final season of their episodic choice-driven video game takes you to Robert Kirkman’s world better than the TV show. Without putting too much spoilers, we’ve seen Clem grow into a strong woman on previous seasons. In this season, expect emotional moments that goes on par with Season 1. Coming this August 14 on the PC, Xbox One, Switch and PlayStation 4.

Little Dragons Cafe on the Switch and PlayStation 4

Seemingly specializing in cutesy simulations, the creator of Harvest Moon is at it again with this upcoming title. Take a pick between two twin siblings, and learn the ropes of running their family restaurant and taking of their little dragon. It’s a familiar formula. But with the addition of narrative and rhythm-like mechanics, it goes beyond expectations of simulation and into the bounds of fantasy adventure. Get to know the family, once it releases on the PS4 and Switch on August 24th.

F1 2018 on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Codemaster’s got more exhilarating Formula One action up their sleeves with this year’s official F1 title. One of the staples of the racing genre, the F1 franchise never fails to impress. Even with just the tiny little improvements each year, the game inches closer to reality. Aside from performance enhancements, F1 2018 is also set to bring you more classic cars and a deeper career mode for all the wannabe racers. Coming within reach this August 24th on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Strange Brigade on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One

From Rebellion, this third person adventure takes you on a spelunking trip with up to four of your friends. Strange Brigade takes you to 1930’s Egypt. Evade treacherous traps, solve tricky puzzles, take down supernatural forces, and loot ancient artifacts. It’s coming out this 28th of August on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Yakuza Kiwami 2

A ground up remake of the 2006’s Yakuza 2 developed using the Dragon Game Engine from Yakuza 6. This action-adventure is set in a sprawling open-world Japan played in a third-person perspective like most Yakuza games. It follows the same plot as Yakuza 2 but adding new features to gameplay, bonus content and a new story. Coming this 28th of August on the PlayStation 4.

PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2019 on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One

Konami’s answer to the FIFA series, Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 has always been the ready alternative for realistic football action. While it might not always be on the winning side of licenses, this year’s edition pulls out all the stops to bring you photorealistic moments in 4K HDR. With a ground up remake of their MyClub, plus more individual traits for each star player, there’s still much to look forward to. It’s set to release on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on August 28th

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate

It’s hard to take an older MH game seriously now that World is taking the literal gaming world by storm. This is the biggest Monster Hunter game on the Switch so far. Take on epic hunts with your friends and choose between 14 unique weapon types. Explore the semi-open world environments the world has to offer, and make nature your best friend. Go co-op with your friends to slay the biggest monsters, or you could just do it alone. It’s coming out this August 28.

Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker on the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4

Bandai Namco is at it again with their Naruto fighting games. This time around, it’s all focused to his little ninja boi, Boruto. This whole new series lets players battle as a team of 4 to compete against other players. Create your own roster of badass ninjas and meet iconic characters from the popular anime. Coming out this August 31 on the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Divinity: Original Sin II on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Larian Studios’ award-winning RPG is ready to show its might to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Create your own character, be it a flesh-eating elf, or an Imperial Wizard. It’s the ultimate CRPG experience and it’s better than ever with improved turn-based controls, fantastic story, and co-op fun. It was universally acclaimed, calling it one of the finest CRPG’s ever made. It’s coming out this August 31st.

Dead Cells on the PS4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch

This game feels like the lovechild of Castlevania and Dark Souls. A rogue-lite, metroidvania action-platformer from Motion Twin. Currently on Steam’s Early Access, it’s releasing on all consoles sometime this August 2018. Explore an ever-changing castle armed with your special powers in this RogueVania experience. Embrace the unexpected difficulty changes including permadeath, and non-linear progression. Coming to the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch sometime this August 2018.
