Samsung Galaxy Note Available for $299 Now From AT&T Online Store

Samsung’s latest BIG deal, the Samsung Galaxy Note, is available right now on the AT&T website.  Slated to hit stores this Sunday, this is the newest addition to the Galaxy Line of Android smartphones from Samsung.

Let us start out by saying this phone is big, really big, like designed for Wookiee big.  The Galaxy Note is sporting a 5.3 inch Super AMOLED screen with a very good 1280×800 pixel density.  Labeled by some as a “phablet”, this phone may not be optimal for those with smaller hands.

The Galaxy Note will also support AT&T’s 4G LTE network, where it’s available.  A little disappointing that it’s only running Android 2.3 Gingerbread rather than Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, especially considering its near-tablet size and that Android 4.0 was optimized for both phones and tablets, an area where the argument could be made the Galaxy Note could be either.  Other specs include 16GB on onboard storage (expandable to 32GB), a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor, and an 8 megapixel camera in the rear with a 2 megapixel front-facing camera.

Mind Of The Geek will be posting their full review of the Galaxy Note soon.  Until then, you can order your very own Galaxy Note from AT&T’s website here.
